SELF-CATERING IN ARDBEG

              LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! 

Portpatrick is a beautiful coastal village in Galloway, in South West Scotland. A map of the location of the village is on the right-hand column of the amenities page. The village overlooks the Irish Sea and, on a clear day, you can see the Irish coast. In the evening the lights of the small towns and villages across the water, add to the atmosphere in Portpatrick.  We like to think we do the same for them.  

Ardbeg is a four-bedroomed listed building set within the conservation area of the village. The house can comfortably accommodate 6 people in two double bedrooms, a small double and a single. We are fortunate to be on the sea-front with uninterrupted views across the Irish Sea.

The house was built in the 1700s. Although it has been extensively renovated it has kept many original features.  For instance, the front porch and hall has been stripped back to the original tongue and groove panelling.  The master bedroom upstairs has beautiful, ornate plaster mouldings. 

We are happy to welcome one well-behaved dog for which there is a £10 charge to cover cleaning. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms.  If you have a dog we would please ask you to contact us for further information.

The house is let from Friday to Friday.  Weekend lets (Friday to Monday) and mid-week (Monday to Friday) are available in mid and low season.

This is a no smoking house.
